I’m asking for a friend. He bought a car from someone off Facebook he paid him 1,000 cash down and was going to do payments on the rest which was $3500. They both signed a contract it was not notarized and all it said was what they were agreeing to. My friend lost his house and job and has been staying in the car he hasn’t been able to make a payment yet and is a month behind. He’s been communicating with the other guy and explaining the situation. The guy he bought the car from is now saying he wants the car back or he’s going to take him to court and he also said he’s gonna get a warrant for him as well. Does he have a case? Not sure what I should tell my buddy to do. The title was already signed over. This is in North Carolina thank you.
